Holland Achieves Top Ten at World Championships Series Opener
Britain’s Vicky Holland achieved a top ten finish at the opening event of the 2010 Dextro Energy Triathlon - ITU World Championship Series in Sydney.
With New Zealand and Chilie taking the spoils in the men’s and women’s events respectively, Britain’s up and coming athletes performed well at the very start of the World Championship Series that will visit London’s Hyde Park in July.

Hayes and Blatchford claim medals down under
British triathlete, Stuart Hayes started the season with a late burst to clinch silver at the opening event of the 2010 season, the Mooloolaba ITU Triathlon World Cup on Australia’s sunshine coast. Brad Kahlefeldt won the race, although Hayes was just ten seconds behind the Australian, with fellow Aussie James Seear in third place, 16 seconds behind Hayes.

Age Group athletes join Scotland’s finest at Stirling Duathlon
Catriona Morrison is set to top the bill at the Stirling Duathlon this Sunday 28 March 2010. Scotland’s in-form athlete will take on the scenic but tough standard distance duathlon that doubles as a qualification event for Age Group athletes aiming for a place in the GB Age Group Team for the 2010 Edinburgh ITU Duathlon World Championships in September.

“Come and join me in London”, said World Champion Alistair Brownlee yesterday at a national Sports Journalists’ Association (SJA) lunch in London as he announced his intention to make the 2010 Dextro Energy Triathlon ITU World Championship, London, a key part of his 2010 season.
Dibens earn hard-earned victories in Abu Dhabi triathlon
British long distance athletes raced this weekend at the inaugural Abu Dhabi International Triathlon. With temperatures into the mid-thirties, athletes raced over a course including a 3km swim, 200km bike and 20km run. Great Britain’s Xterra World Champion, Julie Dibens was first in the women’s race (in a time of 7:08.25) with Leanda Cave a close second.

British Aquathlon Championships at Salford Quays

The Role of the Regional Programme Manager
Triathlon England deploys Regional Programme Managers to implement the strategic development plan for the sport in England. This plan was created by comparing the aims of Sport England and Triathlon England, resulting in the creation of ten Regional Programme Managers. Their central responsibilities are to work on creating opportunities to participate in triathlon and are solely funded by Sport England.
